Julia's room
Julia's room decor is my favorite. She has a chubby chicks quilt, Land of Nod bedding, & reupholstered antique chair (Ryan's great-grandma's)...I went with a bright and cheery color scheme and I am so happy with it.
Halloween wreath
I wanted to make a quick Halloween wreath and didn't have time to yarn wrap another entire wreath, so I took the easy way out...doesn't a little bit of yarn look spooky?...just say yes because I'm not going back to change it ;) I copied an adorable $40 wreath found here, but I spent about $7. Jack ran off with one bat and I still want to go in with a white crayon and add some details to my felt, but I think it turned out perfectly Halloweeny.

FALL WREATH
I made a fall wreath today and have to say that it is even cuter in person. I followed the tutorial here and used scraps of felt that I already had at home. This wreath cost me less than $10 to make!
Yay for fall!

Math Apples
My daughter just started Kindergarten and is OBSESSED with school. It's a good thing, right? I've been looking for more {fun} ways that I can emphasize what she's learning at school, at home.
We call these "Math Apples". I slice up an apple, and coat half of each slice in a generous amount of peanut butter. Then I put random amounts of chocolate chips on each slice. I shape them in a flower because my daughter thinks it's pretty cool. Then she has to count how many apples are on each slice before she eats them. Sometimes I'll put a few slices together and she has to "add" all the chocolate chips together from the two slices before she can eat those. My daughter thinks this is the greatest game ever.

Look "Who Who" turned TWO!
Jack's owl birthday party came together perfectly today. Ryan's mom made this birthday shirt for him to wear on his special day, we used the same balloon idea that I had seen on pinterest, and I changed up the typical chocolate Oreo owl cupcakes and used golden Oreos, Reeses pieces, and fun-fetti cupcakes in ruffle cupcake liners from Joann's.
